Mesoglow
Helps care for dull skin, acne marks, less smooth texture, and more visible pores.
What is the Mesoglow treatment
Mesoglow is a treatment that helps improve skin quality so it looks brighter, more hydrated, smoother, and fresher. This treatment can be done with two methods:
- Nappage: serum is injected quickly and shallowly at several points across the skin area.
- Microneedling: uses a device with very small needles to create micro channels in the skin so the serum can be applied more evenly.
The method is chosen based on each patient’s skin condition and needs.
What concerns can it address
- Skin that looks dull and less fresh.
- Dark spots left by acne
- Skin texture that feels rough or uneven.
- More visible pores.
- Fine lines.
How does it work
Mesoglow can be done in two ways:
1. Nappage Method
Serum is delivered through small, shallow injections at several points on the skin. The aim is for the serum to spread more evenly across the area being treated.
2. Microneedling Method
Microneedling uses very small needles to make micro holes in the skin surface. This process encourages the skin to repair itself and form new collagen, so the skin gradually feels smoother, more supple, and looks fresher.
The doctor will choose the method that best suits the patient’s skin condition and needs.
Who is it for
Mesoglow can be considered for men and women with dull skin, less smooth texture, visible pores, early fine lines, or mild acne marks.
The treatment needs to be postponed if the skin has inflamed acne, infection, active herpes, open wounds, a flare-up of eczema, or sunburn.
How long is the procedure and recovery
The Mesoglow treatment takes about 45–60 minutes, including the use of numbing cream when needed.
- Nappage method: the skin can have redness, small bumps, or small bruises at the injection points. Redness and bumps usually improve within 1–3 days, while small bruises can take about 3–7 days.
- Microneedling method: for 1–3 days, the skin can look red, feel dry, warm, or slightly stinging. On days 3–7, the skin may look a bit dull, feel drier, or have mild peeling before getting better again.
Recovery can differ for each patient, depending on skin condition, depth of the procedure, and the skin’s response to the treatment.
How many times is it needed
As an initial series, Mesoglow can be done as 3 sessions about 4 weeks apart. After the third session, the doctor will evaluate your skin condition and the treatment results to decide whether more sessions or periodic care are needed.
When do results start to show
- Nappage method: the skin can start to look more hydrated and fresh within 3–7 days. Changes in skin quality usually look clearer within 2–4 weeks.
- Microneedling method: the skin can start to look fresher within 1–2 weeks. Changes in skin texture usually start to show within 4–6 weeks, while collagen formation can keep going gradually for up to 3–6 months.
Results can differ for each patient, depending on skin condition, number of sessions, and the skin’s response to the treatment. Mesoglow helps improve the look of the skin, but it does not guarantee pores will disappear, pitted scars will be fully leveled, or skin will glow instantly after one session.
Does it need to be combined with other treatments
Treatments that can be combined:
| Lhala Peel | : | Helps care for the surface layer of the skin. |
|---|---|---|
| Laser | : | Targets pigment according to its type and depth. |
| Skinbooster | : | Helps hydration and skin quality. |
| Face Therapy | : | Clears leftover dirt and dead skin cells |
| Subcision | : | Releases the tissue pulling on certain rolling scars. |
| TCA CROSS | : | Treats ice-pick scars in selected patients. |
| Botox | : | Treats wrinkles caused by muscle movement. |
Combining does not mean all treatments are done on the same day. The doctor decides the order and spacing after seeing how your skin recovers. Adding many procedures at once can increase irritation.
What to know before and after the treatment
Before the treatment
- Tell the doctor about any history of allergies, herpes, keloids, clotting disorders, illnesses that slow healing, and all medications and supplements you use.
- Do not stop prescription medication on your own. Tell the doctor if you are using or have recently used isotretinoin.
- Avoid sunbathing. The doctor may ask you to stop retinol, AHA/BHA, and scrubs about 3–5 days before the procedure.
- Postpone the treatment if you have inflamed acne, wounds, infection, or very sensitive skin.
- Make sure the cartridge or needles are new, sterile, and used only once.
After the treatment
- Use a gentle cleanser, a moisturizer, and products recommended by the doctor. Do not rub or peel your skin.
- Put off makeup for at least 24 hours, and longer if your skin still stings or has open wounds.
- Put off retinol, AHA/BHA, scrubs, and other active ingredients that easily irritate for about 5–7 days or until your skin recovers.
- Avoid saunas, strenuous exercise, and excessive heat for 24–48 hours. Put off swimming until your skin recovers.
- Use broad-spectrum sunscreen of at least SPF 30 once your skin can tolerate it. Reapply about every 2 hours when outdoors.
Contact the clinic right away if redness or pain increases, or if you have pus, blisters, fever, or swelling that does not improve.
Consult a GLOSKIN doctor
The doctor will first examine your skin condition and needs, then decide which Mesoglow technique suits you best. After the treatment, the doctor will give home care guidance to support recovery and maintain the results.
