What is the Xela Rederm treatment

Xela Rederm is a treatment through small injections in the skin to help increase hydration, smooth texture, and improve skin firmness.

The formula combines hyaluronic acid (HA) 1.8% and sodium succinate, a derivative of succinic acid. This treatment can be considered when your skin still feels dry, looks dull, or fine lines start to show even though you use skincare.

What concerns can it address

  • Dry skin or skin that feels low on moisture.
  • Dull skin that looks tired.
  • Fine lines, especially ones that look clearer when the skin is dry.
  • Skin texture that is less smooth.
  • Skin firmness that has started to decrease.
  • Uneven skin tone, as part of a complete care plan.

How does it work

HA helps bind water so the skin is more hydrated. Sodium succinate completes the formula to support the process of improving skin quality. The goal is skin that feels more hydrated, looks fresher, and has smoother texture gradually.

Who is it for

Men and women with dry, dull skin, fine lines, or mild loss of firmness. The doctor will examine you first. The procedure will be postponed if the injection area has an infection or inflammation. Any history of allergies, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and medication use needs to be shared during the consultation.

How long is the procedure and recovery

The procedure takes about 45-60 minutes, not including preparation. Small bumps, redness, or mild swelling can happen for about 1-3 days or longer depending on the patient’s skin response. If bruising appears, it usually fades in 7 – 14 days. Light activity can generally be resumed after the procedure. If you have an important event, allow a gap of at least 2 weeks.

How many times is it needed

As an initial plan, 3 sessions about 2 weeks apart can be used as a guide:

  • Session 1: week 0.
  • Session 2: week 2.
  • Session 3: week 4.

When do results start to show

  • About 1–2 weeks: early changes in skin hydration and freshness can start to be felt.
  • About 4–8 weeks from the first session: a reasonable time to evaluate changes in texture and fine lines after the initial series.

These numbers are estimated evaluation times, not a guarantee of results. Swelling right after the injection should also not be taken as the final result.

Does it need to be combined with other treatments

Some of these treatments can be combined for optimal results:

1 Lhala Peel : Helps improve the skin surface, while Xela Rederm focuses on hydration and skin quality.
2 Laser : Laser is chosen for suitable pigmentation, while Xela Rederm helps hydrate the skin.
3 Botox : Treats wrinkles caused by muscle movement, while Xela Rederm helps skin quality.
4 UltraLift : Treats sagging in suitable patients, along with skin quality care.
5 Face contour with HA : Restores volume in areas that need it, along with skin hydration care.

What to know before and after the treatment

Before the procedure:

  • Tell us about your medications, supplements, allergies, and previous treatments.
  • Do not stop blood thinners without the approval of the doctor who prescribed them.
  • Make sure the treatment area has no wounds, infection, or inflammation.

After the procedure:

  • Avoid makeup for 12–24 hours, until the injection points close.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, and excessive heat for 24–48 hours.
  • Put off retinol, scrubs, and exfoliation for about 3–5 days, or until your skin recovers.
  • Use a moisturizer and sunscreen of at least SPF 30.
  • Do not massage the injection area unless the doctor directs you to.

The instructions of the doctor who performed the procedure remain the main guide. Contact the doctor right away if you have severe pain, skin that turns pale or purplish, or any vision problems.
