What is EXXO HAIR (Hair Exosome)

Hair exosome is a treatment to help improve scalp condition and support hair growth.

What Hair Concerns Can It Help With

  • Hair loss in men and women
  • Hair that is starting to thin
  • Pattern baldness or androgenetic alopecia
  • Weakened hair growth
  • A scalp in less healthy condition

Recovery after a hair transplant, according to the doctor’s assessment

Not all hair loss can be treated with exosomes. Hair loss can also be caused by hormonal disorders, nutritional deficiencies, stress, autoimmune disease, drug side effects, infections, or other scalp problems.

How Hair Exosome Works

Exosomes contain very small particles that carry various “messages” or signals between cells, such as proteins, fats, and genetic material in the form of RNA. These signals help create a better environment for hair follicles to work more optimally, help extend the hair growth phase, support scalp repair and regeneration, and help reduce inflammation around the follicles.

How Long Is the Procedure and Recovery

The hair exosome procedure usually takes about 60 minutes, including preparation and the work on the scalp.

After the treatment, patients can generally go back to light activities. The scalp may have redness, mild pain, small swelling, or bruising in the treated area. These usually improve within a few days.

How Many Treatments Are Needed

The number and spacing of treatments are not the same for every patient.

The treatment is usually done in several sessions a few weeks apart. After an evaluation, the doctor may recommend follow-up sessions or maintenance care.

When Do Results Start to Show

Hair growth takes time and does not happen instantly. Early changes, such as less hair loss, can start to be felt within a few weeks to a few months. Increased hair thickness or density usually takes longer and results can differ for each patient. Results are affected by the cause of hair loss, the condition of the follicles, age, health, consistency of care, and the supporting therapies used.

Does Hair Exosome Need to Be Combined with Other Treatments

Hair exosome can be part of a more complete hair care program. Based on the doctor’s examination, this treatment can be combined with:

  • Special hair serum
  • Hair supplements
  • Hair PRP
  • Scalp care
  • Correction of vitamin or nutrient deficiencies

Hair transplant

Not all combinations have to be done in the same session. The doctor will choose the most suitable and safe combination based on the cause of hair loss and the patient’s condition.

What to Know Before and After the Treatment

Before the Treatment

  • Wash your hair and come with a clean scalp.
  • Do not use gel, pomade, hair spray, hair oil, or styling products on the day of the procedure.
  • Avoid coloring, bleaching, smoothing, rebonding, and other chemical treatments close to the procedure.
  • Tell the doctor about any medications, supplements, or hair therapies you are using.
  • Tell us if you have allergies, clotting disorders, certain illnesses, or are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Tell us if there are wounds, infection, severe dandruff, itching, or inflammation on the scalp.

The doctor may recommend postponing the procedure until the scalp problem is resolved.

After the Treatment

During 0–24 Hours

  • Do not scratch, rub, or massage the scalp.
  • Avoid touching the treated area with unclean hands.
  • Do not use hair styling products.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise and activities that make you sweat a lot.
  • Avoid saunas, hot steam, and excessive heat.
  • You can wash your hair the next day or as the doctor instructs.

During 24–72 Hours

  • Wash your hair gently using water and a non-irritating shampoo.
  • Do not rub the scalp too hard.
  • Avoid coloring, bleaching, smoothing, and chemical hair treatments.
  • Topical minoxidil can generally be used again after about 24–48 hours or as the doctor instructs.

Exercise can be resumed gradually once your scalp feels comfortable.

Contact the clinic right away if you have severe pain, swelling that keeps getting bigger, spreading redness, fluid discharge, fever, or signs of an allergy.

Consult a GLOSKIN Doctor

Hair loss is not always caused by the same problem. Before EXXO Hair, a GLOSKIN doctor will evaluate:

  • The cause, pattern, and degree of hair loss
  • The condition of the follicles and scalp
  • The size of the thinning hair area
  • The patient’s response to treatment
  • The type of product and technique used

Other treatments you are currently having

These results help the doctor put together a hair care program that is more precise, safe, and suited to your needs.
