Acne Advance Peeling

Helps with Acne, Blackheads, Excess Oil, and Acne Marks

What Is Acne Advance Peeling?

Acne Advance Peeling is a treatment using a chemical peeling solution to help clean pores, reduce excess oil, care for active acne, and fade dark acne marks. Compared with other peels, this treatment works more intensively, so it can cause stinging, warmth, and peeling during recovery. That is why your skin needs to be examined first so the type of ingredient, number of layers, and application time suit you.

What Concerns Can It Address?

Acne Advance Peeling can help with:

  • Moderate to severe active acne.
  • Blackheads and whiteheads.
  • Pores that clog easily.
  • Very oily skin.
  • Dark acne marks or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH).

Acne that is large, deep, pus-filled, or very painful needs to be checked by a doctor because it may need medication or additional treatment.

How Does It Work?

The active ingredients in Acne Advance Peeling can enter the pores to help:

  • Soften dead skin cells and dirt that clog pores.
  • Reduce blackheads.
  • Care for inflamed acne.
  • Help control excess oil.

Who Is It For?

  • Have moderate to severe acne
  • Have blackheads that often come back.
  • Have very oily skin.
  • Have dark acne marks.

This treatment needs to be postponed or reconsidered if you have:

  • Open wounds or a skin infection.
  • Very severe inflamed acne.
  • Sunburn.
  • Eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, or rosacea that is flaring up.
  • A damaged skin barrier.
  • A history of allergy to aspirin or salicylate.
  • A history of keloids or poor wound healing.
  • Use of isotretinoin or certain medications that affect skin condition.
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding, until the doctor judges the treatment’s ingredients safe.

How Long Is the Procedure and Recovery?

An Acne Advance Peeling takes about 30–45 minutes.

The sensation during the treatment is mild to moderate, such as stinging, warmth, or a feeling like fine pricks. The sensation usually eases after the peel is cleaned off. Recovery generally takes about 2–7 days, roughly like this:

  • Day 1: the skin can look red and feel more sensitive.
  • Days 2 to 3: the skin can feel dry, tight, or start to peel.
  • Days 3 to 5: fine to moderate peeling can be seen.
  • Days 5 to 7: the skin usually starts to feel more comfortable and looks cleaner.

On sensitive skin, redness or peeling can last up to about 7 days. Not everyone will have visible peeling. The peel can still work even if your skin does not peel.

How Many Times Is It Needed?

As an initial course, Acne Advance Peeling is generally done in 3–6 sessions about 4 weeks apart.

The number of sessions is adjusted to:

  • The severity of the acne.
  • The amount of blackheads.
  • The condition of acne marks.
  • Oil production.
  • The skin’s response to the peel.
  • Use of skincare and acne medication.

After the initial course is complete, the treatment can be repeated every 2–3 months as maintenance if still needed.

Acne is a condition that can come back. That is why results depend not only on the peel, but also on the cause of the acne, hormones, skincare use, medication, and daily habits.

When Do Results Start to Show?

Early changes usually start to show about 5–7 days after the treatment, once redness and peeling have eased.

Your skin can look:

  • Cleaner.
  • Smoother.
  • Less oily.
  • With fewer blackheads.
  • With calmer-looking acne.
  • With dark acne marks starting to look fainter.

Changes in acne and its marks are usually judged more clearly after 3–6 sessions or about 2–3 months. PIH does not always go away in one treatment and can take longer, especially on medium to dark skin tones.

Does It Need to Be Combined with Other Treatments?

Acne Advance Peeling can be combined with other GLOSKIN care, but the schedules need to be kept apart so the skin has time to recover.

Combination options can include:

  • Acne Prone Gel, Acne Facial Cleanser, Acne Day Protection Cream, to help control acne at home.
  • Biocalmskin, to help soothe and maintain the skin barrier.
  • Acne Blue Light or PDT, to help care for active acne based on the doctor’s examination.
  • VIP Light, to control oil, treat inflammation, and fade acne marks.
  • Laser, once acne is better controlled, to help fade PIH (dark marks from inflammation).
  • Exxoskin, skin barrier repair.

Consult a GLOSKIN Doctor

Every case of acne can have a different cause and severity. Before the treatment, a GLOSKIN doctor will examine your acne, oil levels, dark marks, skincare use, and the strength of your skin barrier.

From that examination, the doctor will decide whether Acne Advance Peeling suits you, how many sessions are needed, and which treatments should be combined.
