Acne Blue Light Peel
Helps care for acne-prone skin, blackheads, and excess oil.
What is this treatment?
Acne Blue Light Peel is a treatment for acne-prone skin that combines:
- Salicylic Acid Peel to help clear dead skin cells and clogged pores.
- Glowing Oxy as a supporting treatment to help soothe and care for the skin.
- Acne Blue Light Therapy to help reduce the activity of bacteria involved in acne and help calm inflammation.
This combination is designed to address several acne factors at once, especially clogged pores, excess oil, and inflamed acne.
What concerns can it address?
Acne Blue Light Peel can help care for:
- Mild to moderate acne.
- Blackheads and whiteheads.
- Red acne such as mild papules and pustules.
- Oily skin.
- Dull skin caused by dead skin cell buildup.
How does it work?
Salicylic Acid Peel helps open and clear pores, Glowing Oxy moisturizes and soothes the skin after peeling, and blue light helps weaken acne-causing bacteria and reduce inflammation.
Who is it suitable for?
The treatment can be considered for men and women with:
- acne-prone skin,
- mild to moderate acne,
- blackheads,
- oily skin.
The treatment needs to be postponed if there is:
- an open wound,
- an active skin infection,
- severe irritation,
- or very sensitive skin at the time.
How long does the procedure take, and what is recovery like?
The whole treatment takes about 45-60 minutes.
After the treatment you may experience:
- a warm or slightly stinging feeling for 0-1 days,
- mild redness for about 1-3 days,
- drier-feeling skin for 2-5 days,
- mild peeling that may occur around 3-7 days.
Not every patient will peel. Skin response depends on your skin condition, sensitivity, and the treatment given.
How many sessions are needed?
Acne Blue Light Peel can be done in 3-6 sessions, 2-4 weeks apart. The number of sessions is adjusted to your condition, type of acne, and skin response, so follow-up evaluation by a doctor is needed.
When will results start to show?
Early changes may start to show within about 1-2 weeks, for example:
- skin feels smoother,
- oil is better controlled,
- blackheads start to reduce,
- and inflamed acne starts to calm down.
Changes in acne are usually seen more clearly after about 4-12 weeks, especially when the treatment is done over several sessions and combined with suitable skincare or acne medication.
Does it need to be combined with other treatments?
For severe acne, results can be better when combined with VIP Light and Acne Spot Injection treatments. Once acne starts to reduce, you can combine it with Exxoskin to improve skin quality.
Things to note before and after treatment
Avoid active skincare that may irritate 1-2 days before the peel. After the treatment, use a gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen of at least SPF 30. Do not forcibly peel the skin and avoid excessive sun exposure.
Consult with a GLOSKIN doctor
Acne can be caused by a combination of clogged pores, oil production, bacteria, inflammation, and hormonal factors. The doctor will first examine your type of acne and skin condition to decide whether Acne Blue Light Peel suits you or should be combined with other treatments and care.
