Gloskin Thread Lift
What is Threadlift
Threadlift is a treatment to help lift skin that is starting to sag and define facial contour, without surgery. GLOSKIN uses Double Fix Heatless Thread with a choice of PDO and PLCL materials. The type and number of threads are adjusted to your facial condition and needs.
Threadlift can help with:
* Cheeks that are starting to drop
* Facial skin that is starting to sag
* A jawline that is less defined
* Facial contour that is starting to change from aging
How does it work
Threads are implanted under the skin to help lift and support facial tissue that is starting to drop. The lifting effect starts to show after the treatment. Besides lifting, the threads also help stimulate collagen formation, so skin firmness develops gradually. Experimental research on heatless molding PDO has also shown an increase in collagen density in the tissue after thread placement.
Who is it for
Threadlift can be considered for patients with facial laxity who want to look more lifted and contoured without surgery. The doctor will first examine your skin condition, degree of laxity, and facial structure to decide whether Threadlift is a suitable choice.
How long is the procedure & recovery
After the treatment, mild swelling, bruising, or a pulling feeling can appear and is usually temporary. Recovery generally takes about 7 days, but can differ depending on the area, number of threads, placement technique, and each patient’s response. The lifting result can start to show after the procedure and will look more optimal after recovery, generally about 14–30 days.
How long do Threadlift results last
How long results last can differ for each person. This treatment lasts about 6-20 months, and the result is affected by skin condition, age, lifestyle, the type and number of threads, and natural aging.
What types of Threadlift are at GLOSKIN
4D Threadlift
4D Threadlift is a thread lift treatment that uses barbed threads to help lift skin and facial tissue that is starting to sag. The barbs on the thread help give a lifting and tightening effect so the face looks firmer, more defined, and contoured. Unlike Italian Threadlift, which uses special anchor points, the pull in 4D Threadlift is spread along the thread. This technique can give a facial tightening result that looks more natural.
4D Threadlift generally suits relatively young patients with mild skin laxity, especially cheeks that are starting to drop, a jawline that is less defined, and a face that is starting to lose contour. 4D Threadlift results can generally last about 6–12 months. How long it lasts can differ for each patient, depending on skin condition, age, lifestyle, placement technique, and the body’s response to the threads.
Italian Threadlift
Italian Threadlift is a thread lift treatment with an anchoring technique. This technique uses barbed double-needle threads designed to give a stronger pull and keep facial tissue stable. The threads help lift and restore the position of fat pads and facial tissue that are starting to drop. The pull direction is adjusted to your face shape and your needs. As a result, the skin does not just look firmer, but the facial contour also looks more lifted and defined. Italian Threadlift generally suits patients with moderate skin laxity, especially the middle cheek area or midface, the lower cheeks, the jawline, and facial contour that is starting to drop. Italian Threadlift results can last about 1–2 years. How long it lasts can differ for each patient, depending on the aging process, skin condition, lifestyle, the type and number of threads, and the placement technique.
Nose Thread
Nose Thread is a thread lift treatment for the nose using threads that the body can absorb. This treatment helps improve the shape and define the contour of the nose without surgery. Placing the threads can help lift and shape the nose tip, define the nose bridge, make the nose look slimmer and more proportional, and give subtle changes that still look natural. Nose Thread suits patients who want mild improvement to the shape of the nose with a relatively short recovery time. This treatment cannot reduce the nasal bone or replace the full result of nose surgery. Nose Thread results generally last about 6–12 months. How long it lasts can differ for each patient, depending on tissue condition, the type and number of threads, lifestyle, and the body’s response.
Does it need to be combined with other treatments
Very possible, depending on your needs and facial condition.
Threadlift mainly helps with lifting and improving facial contour. If you also have concerns about skin quality, texture, facial volume, or other issues, the doctor can recommend a suitable combination of treatments.
Consult a GLOSKIN Doctor
Which area needs it? How many threads are needed? And which type of thread suits you?
Every face is different. Consult a GLOSKIN doctor to find out your facial condition, the areas that need improvement, and the type and number of threads that suit you best so the result looks proportional and natural.
