G Plasma
What Is Growth Plasma / G-Plasma Treatment?
Growth Plasma / G-Plasma is a treatment that uses a component of the patient’s own blood to help care for and improve the skin’s condition. Around 10 cc of blood is taken, then processed using special tubes and equipment to obtain plasma rich in natural substances that help the skin repair itself. This plasma is then used on the area of skin being treated to help stimulate collagen formation, improve skin texture, and gradually make the skin look healthier, smoother and more supple. By using the patient’s own blood, Growth Plasma helps make use of the body’s natural repair processes.
What Skin Concerns Can It Help With?
Growth Plasma can help care for several skin concerns, such as:
- Skin that feels less smooth
- Fine lines
- Skin that looks less fresh and less supple
- Pitted scars or scars
- Scars or stretch marks
For scars and stretch marks, the doctor will first assess the skin to determine whether Growth Plasma is suitable or needs to be combined with another treatment.
Results can vary from person to person.
How Does It Work?
Blood is processed with high-speed equipment to separate plasma containing many growth factors, which help the skin repair itself and form collagen. The plasma is then administered to the skin area being treated using the technique chosen by the doctor. Because the skin needs time to repair itself, treatment results also appear gradually, rather than immediately after the procedure.
How Long Does Treatment and Recovery Take?
Treatment usually takes around 45-60 minutes, depending on the area and technique used.
After treatment, the skin may experience:
- Redness
- Mild swelling
- Mild pain or stinging
- Bruising in some areas
These symptoms usually improve gradually in around 3-7 days. Recovery time can vary from person to person.
How Many Treatments Are Needed?
The number of treatments depends on the skin’s condition and the desired goal. For some conditions, the doctor may recommend around 3 initial sessions, spaced 2-4 weeks apart. After that, the doctor will assess the skin’s progress and determine whether further treatment is needed.
When Do Results Start to Show?
Growth Plasma produces results gradually. In some patients, changes start to appear within a few weeks and may continue to develop over several months. Skin may look smoother, more supple and fresher as it repairs itself. However, results can vary from person to person.
